F.I.E.R.O. Fire Station Design Symposium

Fire Station Design Symposium

How can you build a fire station that's safe, functional, and productive while being a good steward of your community's resources? A fire station is such a key asset and such a big expense that it's wise to get expert guidance straight from the source. The F.I.E.R.O. Fire Station Design Symposium has been held annually since 2000. It was the first conference of its kind and remains the premier forum to learn from the experiences of experienced architects and fire service personnel in preparation for your own department’s building project.

F.I.E.R.O. Fire PPE Symposium

Fire PPE Symposium

The F.I.E.R.O. Fire PPE Symposium began in 2009 and is held every other year. This conference offers comprehensive coverage of the latest research related to firefighter personal protective equipment (PPE) and is intended to benefit all fire service personnel. Presentations at the conference help your department members understand how your PPE performs, why the standards for design and performance are set where they are, what to include in your specifications, and what we’re learning from research that will impact performance requirements in the future.

F.I.E.R.O. Fire PPE Regional Workshop

Fire PPE Regional Workshop

F.I.E.R.O. Fire PPE Regional Workshops are held periodically around the country. The workshops provide comprehensive instruction on the selection, care, and maintenance of your PPE in a single-day, close-to-home format. The workshops are geared for firefighters, training and safety officers and any staff who are responsible for PPE in your department. The NFPA 1851 standard on the selection, care and maintenance of firefighting PPE is the focus and your workshop topics will be tailor-made to fit your department’s education needs.
